Daniel Mounsey, experienced with more than 10 years in established schools and studios. I have worked within the Life Modeling Society, with other modeling agencies and independently. I am a professional dancer, within the practice of the physically intensive Butoh form . I have studied corporeal mime and practice movement art which informs my aesthetic as a model. I train on a daily basis in dance, gym and yoga, keeping my body sculptured but with no exaggeration in one area. Ive worked amongst many. On a regular basis for RMIT, VCA, VU, Victorian Artist Society, Linden galley, and in private classes throughout Melbourne As a visual artist myself i understand the needs of the drawer ,painter and sculptor so behave accordingly , remaining quiet, aware and of course, punctual to designated times. ![]() |
I have a slim athletic physique, and well defined muscle . I can hold exquisite stillness for long periods. Facial features are interesting and unique so very suitable for portraiture. Im well practiced in the regular poses of 5,10, and 20 mins, but can mange a full 60 mins if need be. I have worked in many secondary schools, and can provide a police check . For school students a life model can be confronting but with a professional attitude I become merely the subject rather than a personality . I have an acting background so can provide characterization for more expressionist poses. I have visited the gallery's of the world so have a vast understanding of art history . drawing upon the entire history of life modeling for inspiration.
